Bill Pidto Studio Host
Bill Pidto joined MSG in 2009 and currently serves as a studio host for Rangers and Knicks road games, as well as host of “HOCKEY NIGHT LIVE” and “Behind the Bench” with Rangers coach John Tortorella and former coach Mike Keenan.
Prior to his work with MSG Networks, Pidto was an anchor at ESPN from 1993 to 2008. He anchored the program “SportsSmash” in 1993, the inaugural year of ESPN2, and later hosted “NHL 2Night” when it debuted in 1995. During his tenure at ESPN he also served as an anchor for “NFL Primetime,” “Baseball Tonight” and “SportsCenter.”
While majoring in psychology at Cornell, Pidto began his broadcasting career as a sports anchor and reporter for WVBR, a radio station in Ithaca, New York. After graduating in 1987, Pidto worked as the sports programming director at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY and as a sports anchor at WSTM-TV in Syracuse, NY. Pidto broke in with ESPN as a field producer for "Scholastic Sports America," a weekly show dedicated to high school athletics.
