Ron Duguay Rangers Analyst

Ron Duguay joined MSG Networks in 2007 and currently serves as a hockey analyst for MSG’s coverage of the New York Rangers. Duguay can also be seen as a regular analyst on MSG Networks’ comprehensive weekly hockey show “HOCKEY NIGHT LIVE.”

Duguay was selected by the New York Rangers with the 13th pick of the 1977 NHL Entry Draft and quickly made an impression by scoring 20 goals in his rookie year. In 1981-1982 season, Duguay recorded a career-high 40 goals and was selected to play in the NHL All-Star Game. Duguay played 12 years in the NHL with the Rangers, Red Wings, Penguins and Kings, totaling 864 career games, 274 goals and 346 assists for 620 points

After retiring in 1989, Duguay divided his time between coaching a minor-league hockey team, the Jacksonville Barracudas, and working for the Rangers front office in community and corporate relations.

Duguay still enjoys lacing up his skates every chance he gets and in 2009 he became the second oldest hockey player to play in a professional game. At the age of 51, he participated in two Eastern Professional Hockey League games to benefit MSG’s Garden of Dreams Foundation, which aids kids in crisis in the tri-state area. Duguay donates his time to numerous charitable events throughout the year.

Duguay and his wife Kim have five children and currently live in Wayne, New Jersey.
