What is NYC Sound Tracks?
"NYC Sound Tracks" is an eight-episode series that goes underground to find the most talented New York City subway musicians. Tapping into the literal ground level of the music industry, these subway musicians play their souls out trying to make a living and hoping for their big break. The winner, as chosen by the viewers via www.MSG.com, will have the opportunity to play as an opening act on the stage of one of Madison Square Garden's prestigious venues.

How are the performers featured on NYC Sound Tracks chosen?
Over the first three episodes of the series, MSG's cameras will scour the NYC subway system in an extensive search that will also offer viewers an inside look into the culture and lifestyle of the underground musician, including an open call audition where 16 performers will be selected to compete "NYC Sound Tracks."

When and where are the open call auditions?
Open call auditions will be held Tuesday, July 15 at Foley Square in Lower Manhattan, from noon to 4PM.

Do I need to be a resident of New York City in order to be a part of the audition process?
The contest is open to any musician who has performed in the NYC subway for money, whether sponsored by the MTA or not, for any period of time within the last five years.

How old do I need to be to be part of the auditions?
Musicians may be any age, however contestants 18 or under must have a parent or guardian's approval to participate.

Does the show only focus on musicians or all types of street performers?
"NYC Sound Tracks" has limited its focus to finding the best musicians.
