Scott Lasky joined MSG Networks in 2006 serving as a host and reporter for a variety of sports and entertainment programs on MSG and MSG Plus. Currently, he is host of the original action sports series "The Transit Chapters," as well as series "MSG at the Movies." In addition, he hosts select episodes of the "MSG Concert Series."
Lasky has been previously seen on MSG as host of "MSG, NY" where he has interviewed some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry for the show, including Jerry Seinfeld, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Will Ferrell, Jack Black, Chris Rock, Brian Adams, Samuel L. Jackson, Dane Cook, Virginia Madsen, Bob Weir, Mike Myers, Billy Bob Thornton and one of the most accomplished musical performers of all time, The Rolling Stones.
Lasky began his career in broadcasting at the local ABC-TV affiliate in Binghamton, NY as sports anchor, director, writer, and producer. During one evening's memorable newscast, with all the station's video cameras inoperable, he spontaneously drew stick figure sketches of the night's sports highlights.
In 1997, CBS Sports hired Lasky as a correspondent, one of the youngest in the network's history. In addition to covering NCAA football, downhill skiing, and gymnastics, he worked with Greg Gumbel and crew during the NCAA's Final Four. From CBS Sports, Lasky was tapped by the NFL to host their live studio production of 'Sunday Ticket.'
In July of 1999 Lasky began his foray in the entertainment industry, joining entertainment cable giant, E! Entertainment Television, where he co-hosted their new prime-time series 'Search Party'. In 2004, Lasky further expanded his entertainment resume, joining TBS as host of the networks new reality show 'The Real Gilligan's Island' during the series run.
In 2009, Lasky earned his first New York Emmy nomination and win in the category of "Sports Programming: Program Feature/Segment," for a feature on MSG he produced and appeared in on the annual NYPD and FDNY football game, the Fun City Bowl.
Lasky currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
