About the Event
Overview
Hockey Heroes: FDNY vs. NYPD returns to The Garden to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11 on September 9.
The commemorative game will extend the long-standing rivalry between the FDNY and NYPD to its 47th year dating back to 1973 when the Fire Department won the first matchup.
Both teams will commemorate the 20th anniversary of 9/11 in a special ceremony honoring those lost in the attacks and all the members who have since died from 9/11 related illnesses. Additionally, Firefighters and Police Officers lost in the line of duty over the course of the past two years will also be remembered.
All valid tickets from the previously scheduled April 4, 2020 game will be re-issued.
